Seymour I. Hollander Apartments, commonly referred to as "The Hollander House", is independently owned and managed by the faith-based Greater Bridgeport Jewish Housing Corp. We are an Equal Housing Opportunity Provider, non-profit, and non-denominational.
Hollander House residents are active within the community and are encouraged to have a good quality of life. It is the management’s goal to make this housing community the best home it can be for every resident.

Our History
In the late 1970s, the UJA/Federation of Eastern Fairfield County (now known as Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County) did a needs assessment survey to learn the needs of the Jewish community of the greater Bridgeport area. Among the most pressing issues was affordable housing for the elderly. Thus was created a committee to study and build affordable apartments. As the committee proceeded, the members learned that the cost to build such a facility would be prohibitive. Read more...
